The "Alpha Project" now to be known as Protector™ began in the summer of 2006 as a concept by David Badillo and Steven Langevin. It is an "evolving storyline"; one that begins with a handful of central characters and focuses on their struggles and their interactions between each other. It will then branch out to include other individuals and events into a larger, more macrocosmic narrative.

Protector will be unlike the traditional weekly series, the viewers are strapped in for a ride being told from the point of view of characters that will hold their attention, gain their sympathy, as well as leave them guessing as to 'what happens next'.

Our story is a tale of people branded as vigilantes for what they believe; as our story unfolds we learn that their belief has been distorted into punishable crimes. These renegades, many with abilities gifted to them, differ from the majority of individuals in the city; they have made a choice to stand for something that calls to them from deep in their conscience. These outlaws are feared and hated by society; they are hunted and punished for their actions, turned over to authorities by their own families and loved ones.

At nearly every turn the viewer will have mounting questions as to the nature of the characters and their separate motives. Are they friend or foe? Why are they seemingly hurting their friends when given certain decisions to make? These answers will not be subdued by ‘padding down’ the story, rather each puzzle will be resolved only to confront the viewer with additional questions that branch off from each passing revelation.

By focusing on the character development and the continuity to each ones plight, a level of realism and empathy will develop between the viewer and the characters.

The clarity of the narrative will remain paramount and the driving force behind each plot twist or new storyline. A cohesive, consistent universe of storytelling will be presented that will complete its self not by starting at “the beginning”, but rather by thrusting the viewer head into a world where events are already in motion. People are at each other’s throats, mystery, betrayal and action occur at a moment’s notice to further the plot.

The viewer will be left asking ‘but what started it all and where is this all heading’?

Simplicity is essential when telling a story of this nature. It is a chief concern of ours to maintain the highest quality in storytelling while presenting our product in a manner that will intrigue the viewer and encourage them to dig deeper into the mystery.

Supplemental information will be regularly provided and updated on our websites so as to reinforce the consistency of the universe that our characters and story line will occupy.
